Download the BlueStacks Android emulator, then from inside the emulator, download the gc team manager app from the Google Playstore. I've used this without any issues. Keep in mind it's not the same as the old gc desktop/web app. Because it's emulating Android, it's more like a giant phone on your desktop.

I forgot to mention that I run linux and there is no linux version of BlueStacks..there are Android emulators for linux but I have been too lazy to install

Used it for the tournament this weekend, worked great. Parents loved it, was a much higher quality picture than periscope, and having the score shown in real time was great.
