Fun Double Play

My kid's not really in this - she plays RF so she is one of the few players not involved in the play. But last regular season game and we had a fun 6-2-5-2-6-4-8-7 double play. Probably could be bad base running but with the amount of times the ball was thrown, I'm so proud of the girls for this play. Not so much fun when I'm trying to score in GC though

Yea I'm not sure why the girl on 2nd took off for 3rd but it worked in our favor
The SS also runs track - she's definitely fast!

Sure is, smart player also. She knew there was more to do than just throw that ball to the catcher, SS got to third base very quickly! Would be a great video to include in the SS players profile.

I bet the runner on 2 was getting called to 3 to stand by the bag. Juuuuuust a little late.

Since our season is done, I’ve been going through plays to try to make a compilation video of highlights. And this was one. Our SS is on first with bases loaded and batter hits a double. SS gets herself into a pickle coming home and manages to score. It was awesome.
