I thought that I would throw this out there. In 1990, we were playing for a state championship. The coaching staff scouted the games and right away we noticed that on certain pitches, the defense made adjustments after the signals. For example, on changeups, the SS put his glove up to his mouth and said something to the 3B who adjusted deeper. We simply told our hitters the tendencies and they adjusted to it. It was fairly easy to pick this stuff up. Locations are often given away by a catcher setting up early OR tendencies of a coaching staff who is calling pitches.
The time between OU's signal and the pitch is usually very short. There might be some other giveaway for a certain pitch that FSU picked up, but the card is not only randomized, it's usually changed out during the game. Don't ask me how I know, but my source is reliable.
Whatever FSU did last night, it didn't help much today.
