I don't know anything about what this system is and have only watched this video. My first thought is what happens when the curveball and change up show up in competition.

I don’t know anything about Mike Ryan, although it looks like his student practices powerless effort.
And yes the book is from Dr Yessis. It’s actually a good read so far.
Talks about how a sprinter with 40% fast twitch muscle fibers did just as well as a sprinter with 70%. Making a statement that hard work levels the playing field.
Yeah except when the gifted athlete works just as hard (or harder) as everybody else...You do something (doesn’t have to be sports) at a high enough level and most everybody will run into such a person...that is life.
Yessis is using sub par hitters to explain the swing. He says hitters need to get their weight onto the front leg and swing.
I like the book on looking at the swing differently. There is just more accurate information out there.
