The app I have for syncing can’t have both views together. The side view only shows parts of the motion because she is covering to much ground.

I figured out the app and I can sync the two views, now I think they stopped all the licenses because it will not record correctly, just a line.

How far out is your string?

I received my Chinese jumping rope. I think I need one more. It is very slim and flexible. I can see why Rick Pauly suggested them.

So does everyone agree with the string distance 6 to 8 ft? Play with distance a little.
Depends on the age because the pitching distance changes. Haley started at 12 Ft. in front of the plate. She is now 9 Ft. in front of the plate.

By my own mis-understanding we started DD at 6ft from the front of the plate. But, should have been 8-9ft out....which is where we practice at now.

But, I'll give her credit, she'd get it done at 6ft now and again. What usually happened was the ball broke before the string and would touch at the top of the ball versus the bottom.

@Hillhouse, I use the Tincher or Chinese bands right at the front edge of the plate. Not for my benefit but to show my pitchers, catchers, coaches and parents that catching a drop at the knees means the ball passed through the strike zone at mid thigh. Most often, I’ll break out the string when I’m told their drop is getting hit hard. 9 times out of 10, they realize they’ve been catching the ball way too high and not realizing how much higher the ball is in the zone.
