DD's Throwdown in ITB

To set this up, we're playing in the Elite 8 State Championship series against a very good team. Game is tied at the end of the seventh and still tied at the end of the ninth. Rules are that we go into ITB at the beginning of the tenth with a runner on second. By way of background, DD is a lefty catcher, as you will see. She has had several TB coaches refuse to even look at her because of the baseball mentality that catchers can't be lefties because they can't make the throw to third in time. BOOM; drop the mic.

That's a big time play. Super aggressive on the other coaches part going for a blind steal of 3B. Undoubtedly, was expecting the RH batter and the lefty catcher to slow the throw a bit. Awesome play.. What age division?

It looks like being a lefty in that situation was actually something of a benefit.

Well it wasn't actually in time..but good throw nonetheless :)

That bunt "attempt" was something else 😂
