Don't go crazy on the break in. The gloves they make today are not like when we were kids. The leather is of a much better quality and does not needs as much work. I made the mistake before to break in a glove to much and it was a floppy pancake before the year was over.

Good looking glove - my DD has the adjustable wrist strap on her glove and really likes it.
They were there, they disappeared while I was looking at them!
Congratulations, beautiful mitt! Take your time and enjoy the break in! No steam, no oven, no microwave! If any heat at all, throw it in the clothes dryer with a bunch of towels for 5 or 6 minutes and go throw hard with it immediately after you take it out! That’s the only heat I’ll use! But I have sit one on the dash and let the sun beat through the windshield to warm it up right before I was going to use it.
EDIT: I’ve never used this dryer trick on a fielders glove, just a Vinci catchers mitt and my All-Star CMW3000.

That is a beautiful glove! I am sure she will have a ton of fun with it!
