Hi All,

DD is almost 13, a lefty, and growing. Her old glove is a Rawlings middle of the road model and is wearing out from use.

I had her try on a Liberty Advanced and she said her fingers were very tight and she didn’t feel like she had the right amount of room for her hand.

any suggestions for a glove with a slightly larger hand stall or should I just shorten her fingers

I don’t know anything about the LA patterns but unless her hand is bigger than a lot of men and 18-24 year old women, the Rawlings pro1000/200 pattern should be big enough without totally swallowing her hand.

If she's already using a 12.5" glove, the first glove that came to mind to me is a 12.5" Pro302. the only problem, especially for a lefty is it'll have to be a ordered custom! The Pro302 comes in a 12.5" and a 12.75". As OsDad said.....unless she just has abnormally gargantuan hands, especially for a 12 year old female, a normal adult sized hand stall should work. I mocked up a custom Pro302 with a H-web, it's available in LHT. A custom HOH like this should get her through 3 or 4 years.

Thank you both for your input. Her hands are very big for an almost 13 year old. I'll do some more trial and error with a lot of different gloves before going to custom glove ordering.

Rawlings come in two different hand sizes. Make sure the gloves you are looking at are standard, and not the Youth Pro Taper. If you walk through the Custom Glove process, it asks you this question.
