#1 Unless your high school is either a) very close to target college or B) in state championship runs; college coach likely will never see her play high school ball.

#2 College coaches have no way of determining exactly who your high school is playing competition wise. Your team could be a bunch of superstars in a league of Chico's bail bond teams. skewing any stats.

#3. college coaches know all about the political malarky that is high school sports. How the coaches favorite minion starts no matter what rules she breaks, poor sportsmanship exhibited, best friend with parent, etc. Or your DD could be a great D2, D3, NAIA level player that is trapped behind multiple D1 skilled players and never gets a chance in high school. Or the high school coach is there for the extra $$$ and knows jack about the game.

#4 . college will see her play in summer, video, etc.

Bottom line - mention that she played, big mention of all academic achievements and find a school she loves.

Almost forgot, My DD never pitched an inning for her high school varsity team. She's freshman in college, very good scholarship, PITCHING, and enjoying every second of proving her HS coaches wrong.
