Covid and team fees

With Covid happening we ended up only playing 3 of 10 tournaments, and we had payed our fees before Covid hit. So what are everyone’s teams doing if the player doesn’t re-make the team at tryouts?

Our team is keeping the fees and dispersing them to next years players, that’s all well and good if all the kids come back, but if they don’t, I don’t think that is right.

I would refund any money that was left over.

Ask to see the book so you can understand how much money is involved. I would guess they should be cutting you a check for a few hundred dollars depending on what level you are playing at.

If they don't have book or can't produce one immediately you need to move on.

We ended up getting in all our tournaments but the coaches said any money not spent would carry over to the fall for returning players and refunded for players that left.

That is really the fairest way I can think of.

sounds like to me, if they dont issue partial refunds, then they made a “profit”

So bringing this backup. Basically the organization told us to pound sand, they claim they cannot give us a refund since they are non-profit, which I know is not true. Can we report them to someone, I can't even get a break down of what was leftover from the coaches of the team.
