Hi all,

I’ve struggled to find my 10U DD a chest protector that fits well. We’ve tried a few AS, UA, and some others but they were all too big, no matter the adjustments. She recently tried an Easton one from a friend and it worked really well. I ordered a few (Schro and the Gametime) and we are trying to decide which to keep. DW likes the Gametime as she feels it offers more protection for our new catcher. I prefer the other as it feels less bulky and has nicer foams. My daughter said both are fine.

I realize the materials (memory foam) in the Gametime one are not as nice as the Schro but I can buy the Elite X model which I believe uses similar materials.

Thoughts of fit and protection?

Right Here For Now
Whichever has the snugger fit and conforms better to her body is the one you want. You can't tell that from the pictures. It's not like one of those, "Is this bat cracked?" threads where you can pictures from 6 inches away.

Thanks for the input. They both fit about the same and I can make a few more adjustments for a snugger fit.

Is it just a matter of the straps not tightening enough? In 10U, I had to fold and sew the straps to make them short enough to tighten properly around my DD's narrow body.

Both of the chest protectors in the pics look like they might be too long. When they are in their receiving stance, we don't want it pushing up under their chin, and limiting their ability to look down at the ground in front of them.

The Schro is a bit shorter and fits better overall. I’ll probably fold/sew a few straps as suggested. I found the Gametime one is hard to remove once the straps were adjusted correctly and it must be loosened in order to remove it over the head.
