My daughter is 10 (2nd year 10u) 4’6” about 75lbs and has a 33” Wilson Aura mitt. I have been thinking of an upgrade for her. There have been quite a few people that mentioned how big it was including two former college catchers. She catchers good with it but should I look into a 32” or 32.5”? Is there really that much of a difference in the sizes?

I do not think so but DD was not a C.

Amazing how the glove grabs the ball.

Is she going to grow some more? DD was smaller then yours so no sarcasm meant.

Right Here For Now
As a general rule, the bigger the size, the bigger/deeper the pocket. Thus, for a 12" ball, most catchers prefer a 33.5" or 34". Considering your DD will be moving to a 12" ball next year, I wouldn't think you'd want to downsize. Worst case scenario, you stay with what you have until it's time for a new one.

If your daughter catches well with it who cares? Maybe the former college catchers see something you don't?

In my experience although a bigger swallows up the ball when receiving, it's hard for younger players to get clean transfers on throws. At 10u she still uses the 11" ball there's really no need for a glove that large. Shelve it for now and pick up a Diamond 315, there like 60 bucks new.
