Hi folks. Not sure exactly what they call it but I see people warming up prior to a game with a ball that doesn’t travel very far so coach can toss it real close. Think it’s red. Is it a weighted ball or something else? This is for 10u. Thanks.

Yep they're a thick soft PVC case filled with sand. They also provide instant feedback to miss hits. If you don't catch them square they don't go anywhere.

For my HS team, I bought a couple of dozen orange BowNet balls. They have the holes in them and yet, give pretty good feedback to the hitter on contact with the ball. These balls could not possibly damage anything.

I sold all of my weighted total control balls years ago.

I just ordered a 16 ball assortment of Driveline Hitting Plyo’s in preparation for dd being home from college this winter. I like it that they assorted weights. They are also lighter than TCB’s. TCB’s are 425 grams.

Driveline weights:
4- 350 grams
4- 300 grams
4- 250 grams
4- 200 grams

I am just guessing that the Driveline hitting plyos will require a screen, at least with my college age dd. They are lighter and therefore I believe will come off the bat faster.

If anyone has seen a team warming up with blue and white heavy balls, they were probably the Drivelines. I would be curious what people who have used them think of them.
