Batting Helmet Mask-Ball in Face.

Familiar topic. This was not fouled off. Embedded in the mask straight off the pitch (upper 60’s lower 70’s). Broken nose, out for 4-6 weeks. Pretty significant for a D1 starter. Guessing without the mask it would have ended her career.

You never know the scenario where it's important to have a mask. Let alone twice in one AB.

Well. I'd say the first pitch could either be a live ball, (which I probably would have called) or with the batter stepping out of the box, interference on the batter. The 2nd one is a live ball. The umpire shouldn't have sent runner back in first one.
