Is this the anchored rear leg technique? .....W=W??

If you are measuring exit speed from behind how do you know if it is reading batspeed or exit speed????

The Pocket Radar displays the highest speed detected. The ball accelerates off the bat, so the speed you get from front or behind, should be the ball.

Thanks - so is it best to be behind the batter like that, rather than next to and on an angle (for my daughter's readings, the guy was near the back corner of the left batter's box)

Yes, the more inline you are with the path of the ball, the more accurate the reading. Being at an angle will result in lower readings, the more off angle, the lower the reading will be.

You can still get readings off angle, they are just not as accurate.
