Lose the 'knob to the ball' and do what all the cool kids do......................
Turn the barrel forward towards the ball.

Here's a different view point. Bat wrap isn't her problem. In fact, if she were to turn very quickly without pushing her hands forward, the weight of the bat together with the rotation of her body would initially cause the bat to wrap more and then accelerate even faster to the ball. The slack would be taken out first and the centrifugal force would take over and help the bat extend out.
What I think is the problem is:
1) the batting tee is way too far forward causing her to reach for the ball. Move it back in her stance.
2) she's lunging forward and getting over her front leg, losing leverage and power. Have her stride to her front heel and push against her front leg. Her head should stay behind her center of gravity, at contact it would be at or even behind her back thigh.
The feeling is to stride forward and get weight forward and then center up by moving rearward.

I think asking her to stop wrapping will shorten her swing and she'll feel like the only way to generate power is to push her hands forward.
IMHO

Push against the front side, head over back thigh, against front leg.

this is a case where the further your hands start away from your body, the harder it is to get them in perfect position at load. It's hard to pull them back in from a position out in front. If she could find a decent inside starting point, I think it would help with everything else in her sequence. Google Alyssa Dicarlo and it should pop the hitting vault breakdown. Look at her hand positioning to start and the minimal amount of movement to load and see how that correlates to a perfect position to turn it instead of swing it.
