My Daughter swings a 2018 PXT. That thing is a tree trunk compared to most of the other bats she's tried. If you aren't strong enough the PXT will swing you, you aren't swinging it. It sounds like your daughter has taken a few cuts with it and that will give her a better gauge to assess other bats, sometimes it is hard to really know what the differences are if the range is small, having a Bustos -13 and a PXT -10 gives your analysis some nice bracketing.

I would add that a girl's height and weight don't always tell the story on strength. I've seen slightly built girls with good core/wrist/arm strength able to swing a heavier bat successfully, and bigger girls struggle to maintain swing fundamentals with heavier bats, so best thing is to try several and see what fits your daughter best.

PXT is about the heavyest swinging bat on the market. CF is pretty much the lightest.

Since your currently at a 30/17, I'd tend to recommend 31/20. You're still going up an inch and 3 oz. If stick with a 30 inch, then maybe a drop 10. You didn't mention age, but I think the drop 11 CF is usually the best bat for many especially smaller 10u/12u players. I think there's a reason strong girls break them easily, because they are little hot sticks.

And yes if buy a previous year model from an authorized dealer you still get the warranty.

What is the advantage of the shorter barrel on the drop 10?

The barrel on the -10 is a lot longer, well probably .75" or so.

The 2 on far left are -11, 3rd from left is drop 10. Drop 11 are about an inch longer unless it's flipped in last couple of years. The prism is a drop 10 in pic. The other drop 10 Demar is the white CF XD which has the longest barrel, same as the slappers did.

I’ve been looking at the CFs as well. The barrel length on the -11 is indeed longer than the -10 for 2021. It’s counterintuitive, as you would expect the heavier bat to have the longer barrel and hence a larger sweet spot?

Does anyone understand why they are engineered that way?

In my experience with the same model and year bat in the same length, the -11 and -10 have different length barrels (with the -10 being longer).

Just my experience with the blue single stamp ghost, obviously YMMV. That was the only time DD moved from -11 to -10.

So is there any difference at all in the 2019 CF Zen and 2020 CF? I feel like there is pressure on me... LOL....

I haven't compared them recently but previous CF bats have had the same barrel for two bat lengths...only the handle was different.

Warranty question... If you replace the purchased bat grip with a different one, would that influence the warranty of it. I wouldn't think so but wanted to check before I did anything. It would be a Demarini bat. Thanks in advance.

I remember when I bought my 8 yo skinny daughter the newest lightweight 19 oz bat.

Don't fall for the bat companies trying to sell you all these super light bats. Get the heaviest one you can buy today, and learn to not bat drag. You will thank me.
