The Sacramento State Club Softball team has an opening for a part time paid assistant coach to join our staff. This opportunity consists of working with and coaching our club team comprised of highly skilled and well coached softball players at the college level.
College club teams are highly competitive non athletic scholarship teams that compete nationally, and softball club at Sac State is a great program to be apart of. Our program is growing in talent since we started in 2017, and our team competes in the NCSA Pacific Central Conference with member schools including UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC Merced, and San Jose State. Our schedule includes non-conference and conference opponents Our conference champ plays in a regional playoff with an opportunity to go to the NCSA College World Series held in Georgia in a top 16 team national bracket.
We are looking for a dynamic coach with experience and knowledge in the game of softball. An enthusiastic motivator and have good organization and people skills working with and developing players. Ideally, someone with experience with infielders, pitchers, and or catchers. The Assistant Coach reports directly to the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in all phases of our softball program which includes recruiting, practice planning, game prep and planning, and fundraising. Our team and program pedigree emphasizes on being speed and power oriented in all phases. Our fall camp starts in September, our practices are Tu-Wed-Thu from 2pm-4pm so we are looking to fill this vacancy soon.
