Ill give you the info for a few different teams we have tried out for. DD current 10u team was 1500. We've played probably 14 or more tournaments, but we raised a good amount of money. Her 12u team this year is 1700. The local PGF team is about 2800ish. This past season parents voted to keep roster at 12, instead of 13 so it went up to about 3300 or so. Avg 12u team fees for the 5 teams we tried out for was about 2500

Our last two teams (this is a year of 14U and two of 16U) were a bit above $2K. I'm curious to see if there's a balance at the end of the season because we ended up not playing in about four or five tournaments we had budgeted for. We've got two offers for next year, and the first one was $1900 (using 2019-20 budget), and I'm not sure about the other.

but we raised a good amount of money.

We had a team a couple of years ago that did fund raisers a couple of times during the year. I never saw the books, and I never understood why we needed to do a fundraiser. Nonetheless, every time we had a fundraiser of some sort, I'd ask the team manager what they were hoping to get from each girl, and then I'd write her a check. My daughter has enough going on without having to sell raffle tickets or whatever.

I like the teams that hang a name on their team or uniform so they can get some sponsorship money. There's a team out of Atlanta whose team name was Atlanta Crush Powered By Royal Flush Plumbing. No, I'm not making that up.

We paid $1800 for 10U this year and I'm expecting them to go up a little for 11U.

Have any of your teams given out a detailed list of where all the money goes?.....My DD has been on four different teams, never once got a itemized list of where the money goes, mind you, I never asked for one, 2 of the teams it seemed it was well spent, the other 2 teams seemed like our funds were not well spent.......

All our teams are required to have a budget, and account for all funds. The coach is not allowed to be the treasurer - they need a separate person in charge of funds. Our orgs treasurer is a CPA and he is ruthless; all teams are required to run all money through their account and he has visibility. We also provide funds from the central account to each team from org fundraisers/tournament income and he wont transfer it unless he is happy with their books.

Even without that, I have never been on a team where I haven't been able to see the books whenever I asked. I would be deeply suspicious if the team couldn't outright show you.
