When I grabbed what I thought was DD’s back up mitt for a pic the other day I discovered it was her gamer. So, I got her back up out and noticed it is in much better shape than her current glove! The only problem with the back up is the stitching has broken on the thumb stall and I want to fix it, but I don’t think a restitch is possible, or cost effective.

I’ve read a contact cement is best for adhering leather to leather, a product like shoe goo, just a little scared to try it. Any recommendations?

There's a product called Tear Mender that is cheap, works well, and it's very easy to use. I started using it in the early 90s. Put it on both sides of the separation and stick it together.

It looks like the stitching is good and it broke due to scuffing

Take it to a boot shop if you have one nearby. Looks like the holes and
Leather are in good shape . They can hand stitch it I bet .
