So I received 2 for Christmas and finally tested it out. So far it's VERY frustrating. I get more "Pitch did not start from quiet stable place" than actual readings. This is especially true with throwing fastballs, as we can't get one fastball reading on multiple pitchers. Hoping it's the balls that need to be replaced, or else this is a definite waste. If anyone has any tips, it'll be appreciated.

Maybe it's me, but the Revfire2 I received works well. Not a big fan of monthly fees. Now if DD could improve her spins :)

What???? Please elaborate

If I am understanding everything correctly,

rotations / rotations per second give us flight time. Time X Ave Speed gives you distance. I think a difference of 2 inches is pretty good. Well within an expected distribution.

We just pitched at 43 feet and I sat 2-3 feet behind home plate. I am an EE by trade and didn't bother to run the String Theory on the throw :)
DD's stride is not 6.5" LOL
Still a great tool.. Her spins are getting better week after week.

You will find that a radar gun will give a different value for pitch speed.
