Just ordered one as my Revfire died and they won't replace. I hope this last longer. Not happy that there is a subscription fee of 10.00 per month though.

For a monthly fee of $10 to get the features people actually want they should be giving the ball away for next to nothing. So after 2 years this thing costs $320 and the cost continues to accrue? Pass.

The only features I'm interested in are spin and axis and these can be accessed without the need to pay a monthly fee. I ordered this a couple days ago. I really wanted the revfire but it looks like this can do more (spin axis) at the same price and it's available. Once I get mine I'll post my impression.

I guess I should have read the fine print lol. No matter, if it can do what it says it will be worth it and maybe when some competition shows up the rates will be reduced.

Ordered one last week and received it in the mail yesterday. Obviosly, we charged it and pitched with it last night. Mixed reviews....it seemed to fairly accurate but numerous erroneous speeds showed up. For example, I know DD doesn't throw 67 mph but several times it showed she was throwing 67 and above. On the flip side, I know my DD's fastball isn't 52 but several times it showed she was throwing 52 and below. However, the majority of the speeds it showed was in line with what I know she throws 60-62. As for the spin...not sure if it was accurate or not. We have always referenced spin rates from the rev fire (20,21,22,etc...rps). This spin rate shows up as 900,1000,1150, etc...). As for the spin type, who knows. Without a stripe on the ball it's impossible for me to read any spin bedsides bullet. It showed the majority of her pitches as IR spin which I would believe to be true since we were just hitting spots and not spinning any particular pitch most of the time. She did throw some riseballs which read "gyro" spin and some changeups which read rollover spin. Overall, i think there are some bugs needing to be worked out on this device. I'm not sure it's worth the money. Time will tell...

Just recieved the ball today. Speeds seem to be + or - 3 MPH compared to my pocket radar. I was a little concerned at first as quite a few of my dd's warmup pitches didn't even register and gave an error message stating it couldn't read the pitch. If this happened, the ball won't register any data. When I first got a Gyro for the spin direction I assumed it was picking up a bullet spin which my dd is prone to throw from time to time. However, it must not be reading the spin correctly when it displays 'gyro' because I was observing spins that weren't even close to bullet. My dd (13) throws with very good IR and has excellent brush. Her typical fastball spins from a pitchers perspective between 7-1 and 8-2. Spins that did register a direction (based on a clock) seemed pretty accurate. For this test, I tracked 30 pitches 10 Fast (drop), 10 Rise and 10 Change. Anything with a DNR means it "did not read" the pitch for whatever reason. 3 Fastballs and 3 Riseballs did not register. See attached chart for the results. Note: I did not have my dd rethrow any balls that did not register. I kept this data so as to show how often it would not register a pitch. Pitches for each category are not in order. I'll take some readings in a bigger area tomorrow and post my results.

Spin is calculated as RPM on the DK ball. Rev Fire is RPS. Take your 1150 and divide by 60 to compare to Rev Fire.
