Taken from her website:
1. Perfect "launch position." Weight is loaded into her front leg. She has a slight lean with her body. She is still tall with her chin. Her right knee is headed over her front toes. LOVE IT.
2. This is a position a lot of pitchers cut short or do not fully get to. She goes from that slight lean position to getting tall again. We call this posture. She gets tall by her stride leg (left) starting to come up near her hip. Her right leg (quad, glute & hamstring) are supporting her to be tall and her her hips/butt are moving forward with her weight transfer. Hips are coming underneath her. Possibly the most important part of this is that her right toes stayed completely still, her toes are pushing down against the ground and her HEEL is beginning to lift. VERY GOOD.
3. You'll notice her posture is even a little bit taller from #2. Chin is over her belly button. Shoulder hip and knee are all full aligned with good stacking. Check out her right leg - there is STILL energy left in there to help push her OUT and also a little UP at the same time. Her heel has lifted even more and her toes have not moved, they are still pushing down. To be in this position, it takes a lot of reps and a lot of STRENGTH. I won't lie to you, this is a tough position for a pitcher to move her body into, but MAN IT IS IMPORTANT. I just don't see many pitchers getting 100% into this critical position.
4. We have reached full extension with the back leg. Heel has lifted even higher and you now see FULL EXTENSION of toes and knee. Notice her back foot at this position has NOT begun to turn at all. Because of this, she is NOT cutting her push and her arm circle short whatsoever. Often times, pitchers toes and knees are already pointed toward 3B and they do not get 100% of their full extension. You have to go STRAIGHT first before you can even begin to think about getting open. This pitcher is using her load and push out to it's FULL POTENTIAL by getting to this extension. She is still tall - chin is over belly. And her stride leg is helping her get tall by her left knee being as tall as her left hip.
