First catcher's mitt, though. I did consider buying her a new mitt for Christmas, but her season starts in 46 days. Thinking that a relace would be much easier to break in than a new mitt.

So, I actually used felt and a piece of leather. Found both at the craft store this morning. Stitched the felt to the old pad, palm grease on both sides of the leather (punched holes and laced). Before and after. Tiger likes it.

Awesome work Como, looks fantastic, I want to hear how the pad actually works and how easy it is to close now?

It takes a good squeeze to close it right now. I'll give it a workout over the next few days and try to get her out throwing tomorrow.

Haven't had a chance to get out and play catch, but I've worked it pretty hard. Already much easier to close. The thumb side hinge was really, really stiff with the added padding.
