8U vs 10U

I would stay in 8u. She's going to get much better pitches to swing at. In 10u, assuming this is House not Travel, you're going to see a lot of terrible pitching. You may get one or two good to average pitchers, but I'd rather have my DD work on her batting with machine or even coach pitch than taking ball four constantly.

but if you get in that situation, tell her that in normal circumstances, 3-0 you would take, in these games, she should swing at 3-0 pitch regardless (dirt, over backstop, etc.) of where it is. gives them another pitch. heck, if pitching is bad enough, have them swing at 3-1 . statistically, the more pitches they see, the more strikes they will see.
