We don't pay for any of the stations that show the games? I did go to the field yesterday and hit DD 3 buckets of grounders and threw her three buckets of front toss yesterday..Where's my lip balm...
Sure, but there are plenty of free options if your goal is to watch some high level games to learn from. Of course it's not real time and the latest games but... I don't often go out and Pay to watch movies at the theatre either but I'll happily watch them for free later. Not hard to find games on the 'net.

*edited to add - Orange Socks, we do the same here (also have a cheap Amazon Firestick to access the apps) and a smart TV. My DD's get home from college tomorrow and we have already discussed doing the same thing. We'll also watch some of the (crappy) video of some of there games from this past season.

Yeah DD watches games on youtube sometimes. She goes to a few OU games every year too.

School is out next week, after that she will have more free time during the day. Right now she has softball or basketball practice till 8,9 3 or 4 times a week and either basketball or softball almost every weekend. She has a lot less free time to veg and watch games on tv then I did when I was her age...lol.

I just bought the ESPN+ app thingie for the month..

Do you have to pay for every cell you want it on? DD would probably be good with that but I get a headache watching stuff on my cell..
I have used Sling in the past for sporting events. It has ESPN 1-3, as well as some Fox sports channels, and it's on my TV. It is easy to cancel after the event.

Good article. I did not know not watching softball was a choice? We treat the bracket just like the Men's basketball bracket and have a little friendly competition picking winners. :ROFLMAO:
You'd be surprised how many kids never, ever watch a softball game on TV. Some even watch baseball but not softball. Go figure. But they can learn so much.
