Bonds: Keeping your hands up is very important. Staying short and balanced.

Not to be confused with the advice here that is sometimes given of having the hands high in the stance ... which effects many young hitters negatively.

The comment of keeping the hands up, and being short, are cues for realizing a productive 'hand path'. The notion of keeping the hands up helps with the swing passing through an upright vee (power-vee) through the "short-to" position (RVP Connection Point Position).

also a good cue for letting barrel work down, hands above the ball.

High hands, Short swing, Stay balanced. Three things that could mean different things depending on who's interpreting. My first thought to high hands is that Ted Williams would most certainly disagree. But then again, who knows what Barry actually means by high hands.
