She needs a little more hip flexion/ seated more. Compare the angle between the femur and spine tilt of the pros. Her elbow is fine. I see Muds point now.

I think you're getting too caught up in the minutia of terminology and all...just get her so "the hips lead the hands" (and also the shoulders) to the ball....

....check out how LC's hips are ahead of her shoulders to the ball (besides her front foot & legs, which body part is closet to the ball?).

Just about every good hitter get's their lower half going towards the ball before (or ahead of) their upper half...

...regardless of the style or "pattern" they use (no stride, low stride, high stride...), they all get the hip out to the ball before, and out beyond or in front the shoulders at their launch positions (same closest body part to the ball question here).

Does your DD do the same in hers?

...which body part (besides the front foot/let) is closest to the ball again at the launch position?

IMO, your DD looks as though she wants to attack, time, and/or hit the ball with her shoulders first, while the other hitters shown above what to attack, time, and hit it with their hips first.
Ok thank you, i appreciate the detailed response. To me this is akin to getting into a more leaned back position to swing over the back leg vs taller and more over front foot. Remember i am trying to describe this to DD. We actually worked on this today, i have some video i need to review, but getting into a more athletic position to start was key. i will try to share as soon as i can. As a note, the middle hitter you show is not as pronounced as the other two. imo.

They're not leaning back with their upper bodies, but rather being tilted back do to their lower half (hips) tilting the upper with the hips' angle of attack (shoulders are tilted down, while the hips are tilted up...both from back to front)...look at LC's arrows for what I'm talking about, and then look at the pros shoulders and belt lines for their comparisons.

Yes, Evan stays a little taller than does Jim and Mike, so his two angles are not going to be as pronounced, but they're still there.

Here's a pro moving everything forward instead of keeping something "back"....

...who again IMO, appears to be attacking, aiming, and hitting with the front shoulder....
....
...as he pulls it out of there with a hard right turn, and then just pushes his hands, outpacing his rear hip (which doesn't start forward until the hands are already past it) to the ball.

Hope that all helps in explaining what I'm trying to get across.
