Like an athletic crouch.
Prefer to stay square to the plate.
Even with runners on.
Framing consistancy matters!
Also like being balanced and strong to move any direction.
(not limit one side by being turned)
Ball first!

Knees no closer than shoulders.
Feet atleast as wide as knees or further.
Flat feet out side of body provides stability and much easier to move to sides because feet are not stuck underneath tushie.
(underneath creates that extra movement have to get up slightly to get feet out)
Eliminate that issue by having an athletic crouch wider stance.
Muscles already engaged at time of pitch offers quick reaction ability to kick feet into dirt pitch recovery on knees.
Utilizing large muscles provide for excellent lateral and horizontal range.
To the outside edges of batters box and beyond.
Catchers are defensive players!
Lets include mobility!

The hitter is Liz Mizera.
She uniquely grips the knob on the bat!
