My .02 Eric,

the coil she has is artificial. It should be organic to the initial load of the sequence. If timing is an issue every other week, this is what I would look into. Or if she pulls off outside pitches regularly.

Really look into when and why she coils and to what affect? Compare against good pros. I think you will see the early artificial coil I’m speaking of. It causes a heavy front side or a less than adequate shift (stuck).

I would lose the negative move and load more into the ground and let that load create the coil; both coils. Notice when MT counter rotates and why. Good luck !

It looks like he is going forward and coiling, Trout. Not coiling or creating a negative move and then moving forward. He has a running start.

Arm bar, swinging around the body, and downward swing/barrel path.
Again JMHO.

But I think that is her swing....arm bar, around her body, downward/barrel swing path

Really don’t want to impose on Eric’s thread anymore.. I see those symptoms as effects of the load being unbalanced and/or the active early coil opening the body early. Which causes ‘active’ rotation, arm bar and no posterior tilt. All different symptoms at one point in time during the sequence but rooted to the same cause. Jmo. Carry on.

I am asking this as I am trying to learn. In the first pic, her right elbow is extended much farther than the 2nd one. Is that purely a symptom of being out in front, pitch location, due to a change in upstream mechanics, or something to be ignored?
Thanks for sharing. I enjoy watching it.

It’s a symptom of her current struggles, and an adjustment to just make contact. The second pic is a better representation of what things look like when it’s going right.

I agree that she’s still a bit too much around, and enough out-from. That barrel path is not downward through contact. The low point is before contact, which is typical for her when things are working correctly and on time.
