Here's one of Trout hitting a bit deeper similar to the young lady in the OPs post. Angles are more the same here. I do not see him turning the hips as much though.
Are you saying the torso should be stacked vertical above the waist? With the OPs hitter, it does look more reverse C, but that seems to be due to the fact her hips are turned more.

Thank you for posting this. The 2021 swing above looks worse than his 2013 swing. However, his 2021 stats are better than 2013. Maybe he was trying something different that day. Not sure. Puzzling.

In this particular swing anyway, he is not striding as far with his back leg as he used to, and he is opening his hips up, and rolling his knee over before he lands. Not good.

maybe he recognized a high pitch and shortened his stride? Ya know, ‘get your foot down early’.. the above gif was a curve ball. Could explain why his stride was longer. Or maybe he just anticipated something? Timing dictates positioning right?
