The Fort Mill Swarm (14u)will have tryouts on Sunday, August 26th at 2:00pm. We are going to play 3 tournaments and practice once a week (probably Saturday morning). The Swarm are based out of Fort Mill, SC (just south of Charlotte, Exit 88 on Rt77) If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining our team, please let them know that we are having tryouts. Below is a summary of our coaching experience.

These tryouts are for the Fall (2012) and Summer (2013) season.

John Finn: Assistant Coach Palmetto Swarm 14U
• Former president and Board member for 11 years of one of the largest softball organizations in NJ, Colonia Girls Softball League (CGSL).
• Created Central Jersey Cyclones Travel Organization and was director of Travel Softball for Colonia Girls Softball League (CGSL).
•Managed over 500 travel softball games (.800 winning %) with Central Jersey Cyclones including 18u (2007) season in which all 11 players played college softball including 2 players receiving scholarships for Division I (Iona, Drexel).
•Last managed 12u travel team in 2010 (NJ) that won 5 of 7 ASA tournaments and finished 35-5 before moving to Fort Mill SC and assisting with the Swarm in 2011.
• Member of Town Council for Youth Sports in Woodbridge Township, NJ.Oversaw teaching youth sports ethics, behavior, and conduct for both coaches and parents. This includes creating mandatory document for youth sports called the “code of ethics” that required signatures of coaches and parent for conduct related to youth sports.
•16 Years experience in girls softball including 14 years of travel
•Certified ASA umpire.
