First year 14u coach. Looking for help on signs as we start practicing again In a few weeks. Team is comprised of a lot of focused girls. Not sure I like the wristbands so looking on tips on how simple or maybe not simple. Any sites give tips on how to do signs. Thanks

The simplest signs are the best - I have a “live” sign and the girls count how many times I touch it. For instance if the live sign is the ears. 1 touch = bunt, 2 = steal, 3 = hit & run. Any time I touch it more than 3 times takes it off as well as a wipe off sign. That way you can still touch your ears without putting something on.

The advantage to this type of sign system is that it is easily changeable from tournament to tournament or game to game because all you have to do is change the live body part.

Also, I was initially against the wristbands as a purist, but they are nearly impossible to steal, easy to give and not miss, and probably quicker than conventional signs. Something to think about.
