What is your concept of "short to". Would you consider what the OP's DD is doing "short to"?
Edit: Also, you probably know that I am not big on instruction at your DD's (or mine) age anyway. However
if you are going to give instruction, then you might as well try to instruct what you think you want them to be
doing when they are 14 rather than what you think they can do now only to have to change it as they get older...
IMO of course and since you have seen my DD's swing you probably should take my advice with a grain of salt
Very much what FFS stated above in post # 34. is short to, but I also think of after maintaining the "vee" you still take your hand through the ball to extension. At least that the way I've always looked at it.
Is the OP's DD "Short to"? I would say no, because she is pushing a little, sure, But on the other hand, its not a case of "Just turn the barrel." Take the same swing she has now and have her start with a lower hand set, start separating more during stride, leading with the hips and see what happens to the swing. At least that's my opinion.
