It is an easy hour train ride to Chicago, and there is a ton of stuff to do in Chicago. Chicago is one of the few American cities with a real personality.

IMHO, you have to go to Second City. Second City was the start for many, many comedians. I have seene Tina Fey, Steve Colbert, Keegan Michael-Key, and many others there. You want to go to Second City ETC, not Second City Mainstage. (The Mainstage is for the tourists.)

Wrigley Field is a fantastic place to watch baseball. Sunday afternoon, drink a beer, and watch the sailboats on Lake Michigan. It is everything people say it is.

Many people love Lou Malnatti's for pizza, but I'm a Piece Pizza fan. There is a Lou Malnatti's in Naperville (15 minutes from her school).

For something closer, there is the Riverwalk in downtown Naperville (about 15 minutes from her school). It has many good restaurants and bars.

Portillo's started in Chicago, and there is one on Rt. 59 about 10 minutes from her school. You have to try the chocolate cake.

Looks like she'll have to find a Burlington Coat Factory or a Columbia outlet store to get some warm clothes. No palm trees in Aurora.
