North Texas Momentum is expanding next year! Our team is splitting into a 12U team and a 14U team. We will be completing our second year as a program this summer and have already seen tremendous growth within our girls. Our coaching philosophy is to develop not only great softball players but also great young women, on and off the field. The coaching staff is made up almost entirely of former college softball players that have recently ended their playing careers. The 14U coaching staff is made up entirely of former college athletes. In our coaching arsenal, we also have strength and conditioning from a current free agent in the NFL. Another connection we have within our coaching staff is Baylor Ace, Heather Stearns. Although she is not a permanent member of our coaching staff, she volunteers her time with our girls whenever she can and offers private lessons to members on our team.

Our open practices will be located in The Colony, TX on July 6th and July 27th.

Please contact us with any questions or final details if interested in attending.

How did you just complete your second year as a program, you should be playing every weekend for the next four or five weeks? Who is coming to your tryouts when any travel player worth the salt will be playing for their current team in their end of the year run and finale events?

I'm sorry. I worded that wrong. We will be completing our second year as a program this year. We still have five tournaments left on our summer schedule. As for our tryouts, they are being held on Wednesday evenings, that way it does not pull potential players from tournaments they may be playing in with their current team. While some players may be on solid programs, some do not see them as a good fit or they are not getting the playing time they want. Also, there are several solid players who may not be on the best teams or even still may be playing in a rec league. For example, my ace pitcher was playing rec only until last year but is now being recruited by some of the top programs in Texas, such as Glory, Elite and American Freedom.
