Working with DD last night and as I looked around the cage I started to realize I just might have an addiction. Over the last 5 years I have acquired or built a whole bunch of gadgets. So then I thought “Let’s make a list and let the trusty folks at DFP be the judge”.

Here goes:

Hitting:
Batting cage/hardware
Tees - numerous
Line Drive Pro
Swing Rail
Bat Drag Buster (homemade)
Power wedge
Hitting Jackit
Light Flites
Total Control Balls
Whiffles
Powerhouse hitter
BowNet
I screen
Balls and buckets

Pitching:
Powerline Turf Pitching Mat
Accelerator
Weighted balls
Zip ball
14” ball
Masking tape (poor mans spinner)
Rubber pitching target
Arm pro band
Drag box (homemade)
PVC spinner (homemade)
Balance beam (homemade)
Pocketradar
Revfire2

Fielding and misc:
Cones
Flat mitt
Skill ball
J band
Speed ladder

So what’s the verdict? Should I seek counseling or keep on keeping on? If nothing else I will be well equipped to start my own training facility after DD is done with the game.

Sadly. (For our pocketbook) - ours looks pretty similar.

What, no sliding mat? Amateur. ;)

ETA: After Coach James' rave reviews on the pitching forum, the Queen of the Hill sounds like the latest budgetary danger.

The only reason we don’t have a sliding mat is because DW is our middle school coach and has access to theirs, otherwise might have one in the arsenal.

Hilarious that you mention the QOTH....been looking hard at it after the review thread on here. Oh...and that reminds me that I need to go add RevFire2 to my original list.

Our problem now is finding time to use all these said gadgets consistently, although we do have our favorites. So that’s a great question - what are your favorite gadgets?

Ours...

Hitting - bat drag buster and power house bands.

Pitching - drag box and balance beam/cones

LOL I was thinking the same thing about all the fitness training stuff that goes along with all the training tool "gadgets"! Highly recommend a rower and would add a TRX and an inversion table to the mix as well. Gadgets? We have a lot of what's on that list plus a couple others. Seriously want to try the Queen of the Hill before allocating the cash...
