I've been seeing a lot of online ads recently for different resistance bands trainers and was researching using these. DD went to a DI camp last week where the hitting coach (highly regarded) was using resistance bands for swing training. When I saw DD hit in the camp scrimmage, her swing looked much more "complete" and sequential than it did going in. May have been the environment etc., but based on what I saw I think resistance band training seems to be something to give a try at home.

My question for those of you using resistance bands, what have you found to be effective drills (especially for trailing hip rotation, leg drive and hand speed)? If you could share those it wold be appreciated.

Also, I'm more of DIY guy and thought $90 for a set of bands and a velcro strap is excessive. Has anyone made their own resistance set up with surgical tubing, bungee cords, etc.?

$90 is way to much. There are lots of other options that do the same thing for much cheaper.

Did you ever start using the bands? If so, how did she like them? I've been thinking about making my own as well.
