What are your thoughts on the Nutribullet for a college student and are there any good tasting vegetable/healthy recipes you can share? I read in one review where the woman said she kept cutting herself with the blades so went back to her regular blender.
We have a really good blender at the house and DD loves a lot of the fruit smoothies but she really is looking for some sort of vegetable drink that doesn't make her barf and can be used at school. We also have a separate juicer. We've all tried some of the pre-made ones and they are pretty bad in my opinion. She's always struggles with getting enough vegetables in her diet.
I personally love the peanut butter banana smoothie!

DD loves her Strawberry Banana smoothies in the morning with her NutriBullet. Plus it's easy. Frozen Strawberries if they're out of season, a Banana and some ice. As for veggie smoothies, we typically buy the new V8 blends that are fruit flavored but still packed with veggies and throw those in with some ice.

I like the v8 blend idea. I know she likes some of those but I've never looked at the nutrients.

We love the nutribullet in our household and use the HE(double hockey sticks) out of it. Bulletproof coffee every morning and green shakes 3 or 4 times a week. fruit smoothies at least a couple tomes a week. This has been going on for almost 3 years now, we've had to replace the plastic container a couple times but it takes a lot of abuse. Not sure how someone would be cutting themselves on the blades but I hope they don't drive a car.

Regarding recipes there's a ton of possibilities. My single biggest recommendation for the green shakes though is to use either banana or avocado in it and add some MCT or coconut oil, it really smoothes things out and helps with the taste and texture not to mention the absorption of the nutrients/minerals.

We change it up and don't follow a specific recipe per se but in general its: Kale, cucumber, avocado, MCT oil, chocolate almond milk, water, frozen blueberries or strawberries, granola and some cacao powder. Sometimes we add spinach, carrots, flax seed, chia seeds, hemp seeds, etc.. Oh yeah, some Ginger too. Sorry I can't be more precise just try different combinations!

That sounds like what we do also. Just whatever we have on hand goes in there. Love our NB.....blends the stuff up much better and faster than a regular blender and its already in the cup and you are ready to go.
