Hey everyone! I was wondering what other have used to increase their players' arm strength. Are there any drills or videos that you would recommend? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Following......DD is working on this also. They just took measurements at practice on Sunday, need to contact coach to get her baseline number. Coach wants to see them all over 60 mph.

Wasserman High Level Throwing program: https://wassermanstrength.com/

Our entire team is in week 8 of working through the program. Everyone is up between 4 and 8mph at this stage depending on their starting point and dedication.

60mph is still a top-end target speed. Still need some natural athletic ability, strength and in most cases a great deal of physical maturity. And you also need technique - which is what the Wasserman program brings with it as well. Most players have terrible mechanics and trying to throw even harder will often just lead to injuries. So be careful.

My daughter uses the Jaeger bands and the accompanying workout that comes with them. I have them setup in her room so she can use them when it is too dark/rainy/cold to throw. Seems to have helped her.

also...be careful with weighted balls. I have seen people go crazy with them. I personally prefer not to let my daughter use them. They can be dangerous.

As in they turn rabid and start attacking people? Over under training is a proven method for increasing speed.

As in I have seen people using 12oz weighted softballs for long toss with 10u players. But in the end it is your kids arm....not mine....just don't come asking me for a spare UCL. :)
