Surf city showcase

has anyone ever attended the SURF CITY SHOWCASE?

My DD played in 12+ of them over the years. They put on ~8 showcases each year along with some other events (Surf City Tourneys). Are you looking for info about a specific event or just in general? Which age group?

EXCELLENT !!!! thank you for responding ! we are going to the early thanksgiving 18u for the first time. was wondering what your thoughts are and what coaches might be attending. if you went to 12+ it must be good . and do you know anything about the camp ?

Early Thanksgiving is the largest one with over 300 teams and over half are 18U. The good news is there will be tons of college coaches in the area from all levels of programs. The bad news is the games are spread all over Orange County at 23 sites, so a lot depends on which site you're at and the other teams there.

Will any other teams from your org be there too? If so, I recommend they help each other out by promoting players on the other teams that may fit a college's needs when they don't have a suitable fit on their own team. Each team should have profiles for the other teams handy along with their schedules. If the coach is interested but can't make it to the player's site, bring the player in so the coach can see them.

The camp is new and I heard good things about it last year. I believe they're fairly selective about the participants. Has your DD been accepted?

Say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain. Many of the sites are quick to close if it rains and very slow to re-open afterward.
