Does anyone have an opinion on the Triple Crown Sports East Coast Summer National event that is played in Myrtle Beach SC? Any information that you have would help. Thank you, Coach D'E

I took my 1st year 14u team this Summer. We had a great time. Tournament is well run. Plenty of time to enjoy the beach experience. Competition was good (all 3 of our losses came in ITB). The complex in which we played had all turf fields (which was a new experience for us). The hotels that they contract with are OK , but nothing great. I did see that the entry fee has gone up for next Summer (went from $800-$900)

This was a really good event last year. However we probably will not be going back. They raised the entry fee by $200 per team from $700 to $900! On top of that, they have a ridiculous lodging policy that you have to stay at their listed hotels or pay an additional $300 penalty. There are a lot of good resorts and hotels at Myrtle Beach but none of them are on the TCS list!

Makes no sense to me why they are pricing themselves out of the market. They had a good thing and was gaining in popularity so now they go and do this.

Had great experience there last year at 18. Some great competition. Agree hotel policy is a little stringent - but we made it work and lived on the beach most of down time any way. Super staffing and the games at Coastal Carolina were a nice touch as well ... played championship round on the turf Sunday due to rain ... not a factor at all except we got to finish the tourney. I would definately go back again!
