Don't let the TV fool you. I believe both of those pitchers have already inked D1 sholarships. Those were two of the best teams in the nation. I know the girl from the Texas team is going to South Carolina. I believe the girl from the Firecrackers is going to Michigan. Hard to see movement on TV.
the movement was not what I was talking about, the in ability by both pitchers, one was worse then the other, but could not throw a change up to save their life.I have do doubt that these girls are headed for a big div. school. What I was saying was really was not impressed by either team.I have seen just as many team locally that IMO could run with these teams all day and I live in the Northeast.I think that it comes down to the exposer that some team and girls get,not by how they play in a whole.Iam by no means picking on these girls at all,but I dont think that they are best out there, just the ones getting the exposer.Lets be honest,Iam not the best writer in the world, but if I posted enough commets and letters.I myself will get more exposer, even if most of what I write is BS and could be way off the mark, people will read what I have to say, therefor giving me more exposer.Somebody out there might even think I no what Iam talking about.;)

As a side note, I also think that every girl on the Firecrackers is going to a big D1 team. I heard at another tourny that all 14 girls on the roster signed D1 either Pac 12, Big East of SEC. Sounds like that coach has some major connections.
Thats another thing, yes he has major connections.Does that make the difference? I guess you could say thats where it becomes a question, if they are taking some of these girls over someone better but with out the help of a big time TB coach. It is great what the coach is doing for his girls dont get me wrong. But there are many girls out in the softball world that have more talent then these girls, but dont have the connections.IMO these colleges look at what this coach has done in the past and take some of his girls because it is easy, less work for them to go out and look for those girls that dont have this exposer. We live in a busy world,I know and sometimes it just becomes easy to take what one has to offer then do alot of work.

I also wonder? Why the catcher for the Texas team was rolling the ball back to the pitcher, only when the pitcher threw a ball, when nobody was on of course, but the pitcher threw two straight balls and both times the catcher rolled it back to her.Was the catcher mad?Does this happen alot by the pitcher?Just wondering?I havent seen that before at that age of players.I have seen it before at a real young age.

Thank you for all the info. We will definitely look at the Boulder tournament being it is in our backyard. That definitely sounds like a good one.

We just finished playing in the Sparkler. Very hot, long week. Pretty proud of our kids for being the last standing Colorado team in the gold bracket. Not sure where we placed yet but feel pretty darn good about our week. Our girls competed well.

Thanks again.

You may also want to take a look at the Atlanta Legacy Showcase hosted each year in early July.

They have 4 divisions 18Gold, 18A, 16's and a small invitation only 14's grouping. Impressive list of schools attending this year (click on the link below to see the schools that have signed up to attend).

The Showcase is run in conjunction with an NFCA Recruiting Camp a few days before.

I believe she was rolling the ball back to scuff it up a bit. They were new softballs being brought in, and she would try and help get the coating off the ball. Our catchers do the same thing when a new ball comes in. They are not allowed to put dirt on the ball and rub it in. It is an interesting way to assist the pitcher without breaking any rules.

We were impressed with the Scenic City 16's tournament in Chattanooga. Great facilities and lots of coaches. Good mix of large an small schools as well. We were there as 14 U's ( they have a 14 U bracket) this year and want to go back as 16's next year.

I guess I could buy that, but it wasn't a new ball at the time,I seen her doing it.First pitch a strike, next two were balls, just saying. All Iam saying about the game, that I watched,is that I was expecting better pitching then that, change ups were terrible ,maybe they were having a off day, everyone can have those now and then.
