Baseball rules provide that a runner is out when he is struck by a batted ball (provided the ball was not touched by a fielder first) we must have two different rule books?

NCAA baseball rule. Same as softball.

k The runner, including a runner in contact with a base, is hit while in fair territory by a batted ball before it has touched a fielder or passed all infielders who have a chance to make a play on the ball, other than the pitcher If two runners are hit by the same fair ball, only the first runner is out

Babe Ruth Baseball, same as softball.

(f) He is touched by a fair ball in fair territory before the ball has touched or passed an infielder. The ball is dead and no runner may score, nor runners advance, except runners forced to advance. EXCEPTION: If a runner is touching his base when touched by an Infield Fly, he is not out, although the batter is out;

Ive provided 3 different baseball rule sets I can get access to where the rule is exactly the same as softball. Im pretty sure NFHS baseball is also the same although I cant get to their rule set, so that would be 4 rule sets. Exactly what rule set are you reading from?

Go to YouTube and type in baseball runners hit with batted balls. Everyone is called out and every ball goes past the first baseman holding the runner on. To me that is a hit ball past an infielder. Stupid rule for softball. How can you honestly say that rule is ok. A runner shouldn’t interfere with the path of the ball. Regardless if a fielder has a play on it or not

The softball rule is stupid, should be changed. Girls play extremely close to home plate while fielding. So, every time a runner is hit with a batted ball they’ll be safe and get extra bases because the ball path is redirected.

So when the ball hit the runner it changed the direction of the ball path. Going past the right fielder who was running in to get the grounder. Cost her team 2 extra runs

You're not mad about the rule. What you're all ticked off about is, in the umpire's unbiased judgement, the fielder had a play on the ball so he did not rule interference once the ball was passed the fielder.

Both teams are playing under the same set of rules.

I thought you were reading the rule in a rule book? Now you tell me to go look at videos on youtube? There are plenty of things I can tell you to go look at on youtube that aren't correct. You may not like the rule, but it is what it is. And you keep referring to it as a "softball rule", its universal in every baseball and softball rule set.
