What the catcher is doing wouldn't be allowed at any other base. Runner doesn't deviate or slow because there's nowhere to go after home.
That's garbage.Blocking th plate is nothing if the runner is never impeded prior to the catcher possessing the ball. To have obstruction there must be some hindrance of the runner prior to the catcher having the ball.

You are saying that a girl has to run full speed at a catcher hoping they get out of the way at the last moment. All of our girls won't truck a catcher and do slow because they don't want to make contact. This is the same logic that causes the no interference without contact that only encourages injuries.
