first tournament is this weekend here in south/mid jeresey, and of course show is forecasted, high of 46F predicted. If we play, need to know rules (USSSA) for what color sleeves they are allowed to wear under their jerseys thinking DD will have at least two layers under jersey

My DD has worn black, white and navy under her uniforms. Her current team requires white long sleeves. Not sure if USSSA has any specific rules?

Technically I believe the rule is that everyone has to be the same color. Honestly though when it's cold I've never seen anyone care

I never really thought to look this up. I assumed you couldn't put them in like, neon. But otherwise why would they care? Interesting.

USSSA Rule 2, Sec. 8 B. says that undershirts have to be a solid color and all have to be the same color. Whether that nit picky rule gets enforced is a whole other thing.

coach said she would prefer white (probably anticipating this question), but it was not a big deal. next question is can field players wear ski caps, and do they have to match?;)

I’ve seen visors or caps, never ski caps.

We live in Colorado - where it is currently 27 degrees and snowing and DD has a tourney that starts tomorrow (should be sunny and in the 50s tomorrow though) - so I feel your pain!
But to answer your question - DD has worn a ski cap...she had one with her team name on it last year - it had a pom pom on top and everything - but she was warm!
This year she has a little beanie she can wear if need be.

Again - not sure about "rules" but DD's team has worn a variety of hats, beanies, long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, half zips, etc in the past and no one has batted an eye. When it's cold you gotta do what you gotta do!

Not sure of rule but any solid color besides yellow should be good . Yellow might be good too but I would stay away from ball color, you are going to confuse DD and I will complain .
