Bat Rule Updates - Like the Thumbprint

I have heard a couple coaches saying that they have heard rumor of new bat regulations/requirements coming out in the near future. (kind of like when the 'all bats need to have the Thumbprint on them' to be legal) Not sure what the new mark would be, since it's rumor, but thought I would throw the question out to others on the forums to see if they have heard anything about this?

What do you mean by "thumbprint" and what organization?

The thumbprint that USSSA uses and the image that ASA uses below. Basically meaning that bats will be having new date requirements like current USSSA bats need the thumbprint and ASA needs the ASA Certified 2004.

Okay, you are referring to the "certification stamp" which is what it has been called since the first was applied in 2000.

I haven't heard anything and I would think that anything solid from USA would be announced the second week in November. I would be more inclined to believe that, if anything, USA would just extend the use of the bats with the 2013 stamp which is presently only permitted in the SP & Men's FP game to the JO game.
