What is correct call if on drop third strike runner from third score before tagged play at first is made? The tag at first makes the third out.

We had interesting play where ball got by catcher on third strike with two outs, batter hesitated but ran to first and was tagged out by first baseman. In mean time runner from third crossed home plate before tag at first. In our game the run counted. Is this correct call?

No. If the 3rd out is the batter runner being retired before reaching 1st base, no run may score.

It depends. Did the BR touch first, turned towards 2B, then get tagged out by 1B? If this is the case the run scores. If the 1B tagged out the BR before she reached first then the run does not count.

It is still a force out so the run should not have counted. Just like if the ball had been put in play and the batter thrown out at 1B. When the runner at 3B crosses home plate is irrelevant.

Are you sure? Isn't the force off once she reaches first safely? Should not be a force if she is tagged out after round first.

If the batter reaches first base safely it is no longer a force out and the run would score. Did the OP state the tag was applied after the runner reached 1B? I must have missed that.

Just treat a D3K (with 1st base unoccupied or with 2 outs) like a ground balls and follow the same rules you would for that play. The batter has to run and all the same forces, third out rules, etc fall into place.

Ok, I thought you were referring to the post directly before yours. OP did not say runner reached first.
