Hey, TM, I love making stuff like this, and need to put together an 11" one for a 10U DD. Could I get the dimensions and weights too? I think it might help her get a particular feel I have been trying to explain, and I don't want to buy something I may only use a few times. I liked the water bottle idea, but still wonder what the weight is on the new improved 25% lighter model. PM or actually email would be better. Thanks.

I believe this device would promote bad mechanics. We have stated constantly on this site that pitcher need to lead with the elbow. This device promotes what I 'm trying to change about my pitchers and that is pitching with a straight locked arm. Promotes push and wave mechanics....don't like it

exactly the only thing i see this doing is teaching a pitcher to lock her arm out so she doesnt get pounded by the thing!

I made one for my pitchers. I don't use it a lot but used at a slow pace like 40% it can be instructive as to keeping the arm circle from getting too far off the powerline. Does it lock their arm out, yes. Is it hard to lead with the elbow on the back side of the arm circle, yes. Can the pitcher maintain the proper sequence through the circle of pulling up on the front side, showing the palm to the third baseman(RH) then rotating to a palm up position half way down and finish with IR, yes. Go slowly and they can. The instructor needs to explain to the pitcher what lesson we are trying to convey or flaw to erase. It is a tool that can be useful if applied correctly and sparingly. IMO.
