Thanks Coach Pauly! The problem is getting to the noon position for me is very awkward, with my elbow bending alot on the way up and over my head, and my shoulder jerking my upper body way open, which causes a funky and misdirected arm circle. And my arm and shoulder get behind my body sometimes so I cannot pull straight down, almost as if I am a contortionist haha!
For me, transitioning from upswing to downswing, all while opening my body and turning my arm, and without bending my elbow, has been a major chore. But I have been working very hard trying to correct this!
But I think my actual downswing is pretty decent, except I am often criticized for not following thru...but I use a method where you do not follow thru, which is my upper arm slamming into my torso so my lower arm accelerates, creating elbow whip. Then at wrist snap, I release my elbow. So there is no point in following thru.
Anyway, sorry for going on. I will heed your advice. You are certainly right about so much variation on the way up.
